Distance: 9.5km round-trip

Elevation gain: 433m

Time required: 4-5 hours

Kennedy Falls is a waterfall located on the west side of Lynn Creek, nestled in between the Grouse Mountain peaks and the creek. The trail goes through old-growth forest, bypassing a huge western redcedar known as 'Big Cedar.'

The journey starts from the Mount Fromme parking lot off of Grouse Mountain Highway. The trailhead is about 500m up the road at the top of Grouse Mountain Highway before it starts to curve back down. You can either walk on the road or take the trail the follows parallel to the road. Either way, you want to get onto Cedar Tree Trail.

There is not much elevation gain on this hike. It travels through typical coastal BC forest, including old growth patches intermixed with second growth. 'Big Cedar' is located about halfway up the trail.

The water source is Kennedy Lake which sits below Goat Mountain. Kennedy Lake flows into Kennedy Creek which eventually flows into Lynn Creek.

This isn't a long or a hard hike but it is a nice option to do on an overcast day or during the shoulder seasons.
