Distance: 14km
Elevation gain: 363m
Time required: 3-4 hours
Norvan Falls is a popular waterfall in Lynn Headwaters Regional Park. It is an easy hike with very minimal elevation gain. It is popular for walkers, hikers, and trail runners.
The closest three parking lots in Lynn Headwaters Regional Park are all paid parking. However, there is a free lot about 300m from the trailhead. This is where I would recommend parking.
From the signboard across the bridge, you take a left and start on the wide, flat Lynn Loop trail which follows along the eastern bank of Lynn Creek. After just under 2km, there is a trail junction. Going straight on the Cedar Mill Trail is the easier and flatter option. Going right leads you up some stairs and onto the slightly more technical Headwaters Trail. They both link back up after 2km so it doesn't really matter which option you take. The rest of the way is an enjoyable walk through the forest.
Eventually the trail comes to Norvan Creek. On the left is a suspension bridge which would take you towards Hanes Valley and Lynn Lake. You'll instead turn right where Norvan Falls sits about 200m back from the bridge. This total journey only took me 1.5 hours.
