Distance: 10.5km

Elevation gain: 659m

Time required: 4-5 hours

Petgill Lake is a small alpine lake just south of Squamish, across from Murrin Lake Provincial Park.

I parked at the Murrin Lake parking lot and crossed the highway where the trail started about 50m north. It climbs moderately through the forest for about 2 hours until you reach the lake. You can't swim in the lake itself. Once at the lake, you can hike a further 5-10 minutes on the west side of the lake to a nice viewpoint overlooking the Squamish River and Howe Sound.

It was a quick 1.5 hours back to the parking lot.
