Pinecone Burke Provincial Park is by far an underrated park. Most people haven't heard of it. This is somewhat surprising as it contains some great trails and peaks.

Today I did a loop containing two waterfalls and a rock bluff lookout. This is an easy, enjoyable hike through coastal forest, including some old-growth.

I started from the parking area off of Harper Rd. There are many mountain biking trails one could take but I took one called Garbage which turned into the Coquitlam Lake View Trail. There are several signs along the trail to keep you going the right way. The trail will veer off into the forest before reaching the rock bluff lookout.

From the viewpoint, I backtracked for about 500m and then took the Sawblade Trail heading west. Along this route I saw Sawblade Falls, Woodland Falls, and a massive old-growth cedar stump.

Continuing on the Woodland Walk Trail, it wasn't long before I completed my forest loop. This made for a really enjoyable afternoon hike at Pinecone Burke Park.
